Marilyn J. (Uhde) Statz, 82 of Evansville, IN passed away on Monday, July 4 2016 at West River Health Campus.
Marilyn was born in Mt. Vernon, IN on March 24, 1934 to the late Rudolph and Minnie Uhde. She worked at Gastroenterology Associates for over 25 years as a Medical Secretary. Marilyn was a member of Salem Church of Darmstadt and a longtime member of the Gold Wing Club. She volunteered her time at Civitan, enjoyed traveling, and playing golf in the women's league at Thunderbolt.
Marilyn is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Statz (Angela), Randy Statz and Darrin Statz (Karen) all of Evansville, IN; brother, Don Uhde of Mt. Vernon, IN; and 9 grandchildren.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Statz; her parents; and a granddaughter, Audra.
Funeral services will be held at Sunset Funeral Home, with Pastor David Peterson officiating on Friday,
July 8, 2016 at 1:00PM.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home and on Friday 11:00AM until service time.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at West River Health Campus for all their care and compassion.

My condolences to the Statz family. She was a great lady and a wonderful neighbor. She did a great job raising 3 sons after her Husband died. To Jeff, Randy, And Darrin, my deapest sympathy. Miss the old neighborhood friends. God Bless.
