Howard Rowan Obituary
Howard S. Rowan III, age 56 of Monroe, beloved husband of Nancy Kelemencky Rowan, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. Howard was born in Bridgeport loving son of Patricia Healy Rowan and Howard S. Rowan Jr. of Shelton, and was raised in Trumbull before moving to Monroe twenty-three years ago. He was a graduate of St. Theresa School, St. Joseph High School, class of 1978 and attended Sacred Heart University. Howard retired as part owner of the Rural Gas Company, an avid sports fan and loved to ski. In addition to his wife and parents survivors include; a brother Richard J. Rowan and wife Ann of Monroe, and several nieces and nephews. His sister Pamela Lee Rowan predeceased him. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00a.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown. Friends may call Friday from 4p.m. to 8p.m., in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to your favorite charity in Howard's name. Rowan Family, I had the pleasure of being a good friend of both, Pammie and Howie in our St Joe's High School days. I am so sorry for this new loss. Although I haven't really spoken to you that often, and haven't seen you in yearsk you ALWAYS had a big smile and howdy whenever I saw you.....you were a wonderful person with a kind, happy, and loving spirit! You came from a very loving family. I have thought of you many many times, and every time I would see a Rural Gas Co truck I always would look to see if it was you!! So happy to learn that you found happiness with your wife. Life goes very quickly.
