Linda and I were friends in college at Western Connecticut. She was beautiful and fun to be around. Unfortunately, we lost touch over the years. I was saddened to hear of her passing. I am sure she has touched many lives over the years. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dearest Linda,

You have truly touched the lives of so many children and parents through your art of teaching and your love of children. My daughter, Tyler, will forever remember you as her "very first teacher"---and we were truly blessed to have lucked up with you! May you now rest in the deepest peace and in the eternal knowledge that you have given so much and made such a difference to all whose paths you crossed in your time here on earth.

Sincerely, Rita Holloway

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
Linda was my granddaughter,Graces' first teacher at Franklin, last year. Grace really liked Mrs. Collazo and often played school,at home, and Linda's name was always spoken. She was very sad, when she came home from school, on the day they announced her passing in school. Although, she's to young to understand,we recently found a note she wrote, stating: "I love Mrs. Collazo", with a drawing of a big heart on it.
Grace's mom, Emilie and myself will always remember Linda, as well as, Grace. We have all of her Kindergarten work with many notes on them from Linda.

I was very saddened to hear of Linda's passing. We go back some 35 years at Western Connecticut University (then College). I have some wonderful and happy memories of Linda as a beautiful person. Still to this day I collect Christmas ornaments. A legacy of Linda and our many trips around the east coast collecting. My heart goes out to her partner and family especially her children. I am certain they are beautiful young adults.
Sadly I never did get back to Connecticut in time to catch up with Linda. I have been living in Australia for the past 35 year. We did keep in touch annually by Christmas card. She will be sadly missed. The memory I will keep of Linda is her wearing her fur coat with her long beautiful golden locks and her infectious laughter.
My thoughts are with you on the other side of the world.

Dear Mary,
I was devastated to hear this morning about Linda. I cannot believe it. My deepest sympathy goes out to you, her children, Lauren , Wes and your entire family. Although Linda and I corresponded infrequently throughout the past 30+ years I always considered her a close and dear friend.
We always talked about her coming to California to visit and me back to Connecticut. Time flew by and neither occured. For that I am so sorry.

Linda was a neighbor, friend and inspiration to me since our sons attended Wilcoxson Elementary together. She was always involved in SOMETHING- always going SOMEWHERE. She embarrassed most of the rest of into participating more, and motivated her friends and colleagues with her unbounding energy and optimism. She was a HUGE advocate and volunteer. It is, in part, due to her undying passion for involvment, that so many Bunnell Graduates will remember their Post-Prom, as Linda was one of a small dedicated group that worked tirelessly ALL YEAR LONG to design, craft and manage that massive and magical Senior Year Event. The stories she would relay about the Bunnell Marching Band would enthrall all of us. She often spoke of the feeling she would get, awaiting the Band's arrival in the parade in California. "It's an absolutely amazing feeling" she would say,"watching this small town Band from Connecticut march up over the ridge- as many times as I may have travelled there to watch it- it always brings tears to my eyes." It is probably due to that story, that a small group of us joined the Band Parent Organization. I will miss your spirit Linda, your passion and your verve for pulling others along with you on what always seemed to be a joyous and life loving ride.
