When I was assembling a staff for a new weekly newspaper--- the Greenwich Citizen -- in the summer of 2002, I took a chance on a 75-year-old reporter named Pat McCormack. She possessesd the credentials, determination and pluck to succeed, and so she did.
For nearly seven years, Pat was an integral part of our success -- indeed, she won the Citizen's first award from the Connecticut Press Club -- and endeared herself to those she touched with her warmth and writing skills. She was an inspiration to all of us.
My dear Pat, RIP.
