Vera N. Hahn

HAHN Vera N. Hahn, age 82 of Westport, beloved wife of the late Harold C. Hahn, Jr., passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 5, 2011. Born in Bronxville, N.Y. the daughter of the late John and Vera Nelson, she had been a Westport resident for 42 years. A graduate of Katharine Gibbs, Mrs. Hahn was a retired executive assistant for Time, Inc. She was a member of the Junior Women's League of Westport and a longtime active volunteer at the Pequot Library. She enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and delighted in time spent with her grandchildren. Survivors include three children, Harold C. Hahn, III of Old Say brook, Alison H. Morgan and her husband, Reed of Easton, N.H. and Amy H. Reilly and her husband, Brian of Southbury; a sister, Elaine Carter of Fairfield; six grandchildren, Brian, Eric and Scott Hahn, Emily Morgan and Joseph and Jonathan Reilly; and four nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the Spear-Miller Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Friends may greet the family Tuesday from 10 a.m. to the time of the service.
