Henry Popowski Obituary

Popowski, Jr, Henry S.
Henry S. Popowski, Jr., 70, cherished Father of three, beloved husband, and Son of the late Henry Popowski, Sr. and Nellie Popowski, was called to Heaven on December 31st, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Born on September 19th, 1945, Henry grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Manhattan College. He used his intellect, charisma, and dedicated work ethic to become a successful business executive in the manufacturing industry before retiring in 2001. In retirement, Henry moved to Wellington, Florida and kept busy, picking up real estate, participating in the neighborhood association, and spending time with his family. There was nothing more important to Henry than his family. He treasured his wife of 46 years and their children, and was incredibly proud of everything that they accomplished. He will be remembered as a kind and giving man with a big heart, who would do anything to help his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Susan, of Wellington, Florida, daughter Cristina and her husband Frank Griffin of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his two sons, Alan and his wife Christina Popowski of Newtown, Connecticut and Brian and his wife Heather Popowski of Wellington, Florida. He is also survived by his two granddaughters, Ava and Samantha Popowski. There will be a private service for him at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the Popowski family requests that donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
