David McClatchie Obituary

MCCLATCHIE David J. McClatchie, age 72of Westport, husband of Carol (Papagno) McClatchie, passed away suddenly August 4th at Norwalk Hospital. Mr. McClatchie was born March 12, 1939 in Syracuse, N.Y., son of the late William J. and Ellen (Spurling) McClatchie and has been a resident of Westport for the past 24 years. He was the president and owner of Comprehensive Planning Associates, LTD, located in Westport. Mr. McClatchie received both his undergraduate and Masters in Business Administration from the University of Bridgeport. He also held a degree as a Certified Financial Planner, was a member of FPA, NATP, and the Navy League. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and member of the Assumption parish in Westport. Survivors in addition to his wife, include three sons, Eric R. Brunner and his wife, Mary of Gorham, Maine, Christopher M. Brunner of Bridgeport, and Matthew G. Brunner and his wife, Kelly of Westbrook, Maine; two daughters, Laura E. McClatchie of Easton, Gretchen M. Brunner of Bridgeport; three sisters, Joyce Jones of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Janet Quinn of Sedona, Ariz., Judith Jones of Newark, Del.; and ten grandchildren, Amanda, Danielle, Anthony, Ashley, Christopher, Alexis, Rebecca, Aria, David and Dominic; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends in the Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Rd. E., Westport on Sunday, August 7th from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral will take place Monday, August 8th at 10 a.m., meeting directly at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Avenue, Westport for a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, PO Box 5022, Wallingford, CT 06492, Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Avenue, Westport, CT 06880 or Notre Dame Convalescent Home, SSTV/Capital Improvements, 76 West Rocks Road, Norwalk, CT 06851.
