Frances Batka

BATKA Frances R. Michaels Batka, age 80, of Stratford, beloved wife of Robert Batka, passed away Tuesday, October 18th in her home, with her family present, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Frances was born in Bridgeport on February 22, 1931, daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Michaels. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1949, and was also a graduate of Butler Business School. Survivors in addition to her beloved husband of 53 years include her devoted children Mark Batka and his wife April of Stratford and Deborah Olivier and her husband William of San Antonio, TX, 4 cherished grandchildren, Ashley and Danielle Olivier of San Antonio, TX and Ryan and Brett Batka of Stratford, a brother William Michaels of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Monday October 24th at 9:30 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford, and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church Stratford, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
