W. Kuntz Obituary

KUNTZ W. Donald Kuntz, age 89, of Monroe, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2008, at St. Joseph,s Manor in Trumbull. He was born on November 15, 1918, the son of Frank A. Kuntz and Theresa A. Kunz. He served in the U.S. Navy as a carrier fighter pilot during World War II. He was a licensed professional engineer, and worked for many years as a design engineer. He was an active member of the Secular Order of Franciscans. He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, M Madonna Hirsch, six children; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike on Friday February 22nd at 9:30 a.m. Friends may call on Thursday, February 21, at Spadaccino & Leo P. Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to St Jude Parish, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, Ct 06468 or St Patrick Church, 170 Thompson Street, Bridgeport, Ct 06604.
