James Franco Obituary

FRANCO James J. Franco, Sr., age 67, of Shelton entered into rest on Friday February 25, 2011 in the Griffin Hospital, Derby. He was the devoted husband of the late Dorothy Sobczak Franco. He was born in Stamford on September 10, 1943 son of the late Susan Franco Hull, and the late Joseph Franco. James was the loving father of Kimberly Larkin, and her husband Darren of Monroe, James Franco, Jr. and his companion Linda of Shelton, and Kari Franco and her companion Keith of Shelton. He is the brother of Marge Pagliaro, and her husband James, of Shelton, Angie Haveran and her late husband Jeb of Shelton, and Janet Rogers of Stamford. He is the cherished grandfather of Daniel and Ashley DeGennaro, Robert Franco, Anthony Franco Ugolik, Tyler Franco, and Nicholas Franco; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. James was employed at Bic Pen, in Milford prior to his retirement. He was a die heart Boston Red Sox fan, and loved watching his grandchildren at baseball, football, and softball games. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Friends may greet his family on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. On Wednesday friends are invited to go directly to St. Joseph Church 420 Coram Ave. Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Derby. At the request of his family memorial contributions may be made to the Franco Grandchildren's Education Fund c/o 253 Elizabeth St. Derby, CT 06418.
