Wargo- Mary Elizabeth Szabo Wargo, age 92, of Fairfield, wife of the late James Wargo, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013. Born in Bridgeport, June 7, 1920, daughter of the late Victor and Sophie Nemeth Szabo, Mary was a lifelong city resident before moving to Fairfield a year ago. She was a longtime parishoner of the former S. Stephen's Church of Bridgeport and later of St. Emery's Church where she was very active in the Ladies Guild, the Altar Society and the St. Emery's Seniors group. Mary was a willing volunteer for all church functions especially while baking her Hungarian Specialties. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by her sons James Wargo and Geoffrey Wargo and his wife Patricia, all of Fairfield, her precious grandchildren who were the love of her life, Amanda and Geoffrey as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her brother Victor Sabo and sisters Angie Csom, Jennie Horvath and Margaret Rohaly. Her Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30am in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield and at 11am in St. Emery's Church, 838 Kings Hwy Fairfield with burial to follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday from 9:30am until the time of services.
