Nicholas Tranquillo Obituary

Tranquillo, Nicholas
Nicholas Tranquillo, age 66, of Southbury, died on December 29, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in West Haven. He was born in Bridgeport to the late Nicholas and Diamond (Bocchino) Tranquillo and had been a former Bridgeport resident for many years.
Mr. Tranquillo was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and served in Okinawa, Japan. He was a self-employed real estate appraiser.
Nick was a sports car enthusiast. Sunday dinners spent with his family were his greatest enjoyment in life. He could not be more proud of his niece, nephews and grandnephews. They meant the world to him, and he to them. Nick shared a very special bond with his sister, Diane and his special cousins who helped take care of him during his illness.
Survivors include his beloved sister, Diane Spetrino of Stratford; one niece, Dawn Erdos and her husband, Jeff, of Stratford; three nephews, Danny Spetrino of Stratford, Louis Spetrino and his wife, Julianne, of Milford and Nick Spetrino of Stratford; three grandnephews, Christian, Jonathan and Maximus Spetrino; four special cousins, Toni Early, Stan and Bonnie Tranquillo and Joseph Tranquillo, Sr.; and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 1, 2015 from 3 to 6 pm at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. All other services and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation, P.O. Box 824061, Philadelphia, PA 19182-4061. Nick worked for me( Cheyenne Group Appraisers) as an provisional appraiser. Very passionate, devoted and open minded to learn a new profession, the real estate appraisal profession. Years later after training him he called me out of the blue to thank me dearly from the bottom of his heart , of all the time & training I helped him with, what a huge heart. He will be dearly missed.
