Edward S. Lenkowski, age 88, of Shelton, formerly of Stratford, went Home on Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was the devoted husband of the late Mary Lou (Trede) Lenkowski.
Ed was born in Shelton to the late John and Domicela (Skiba) Lenkowski. He was a retired foreman for Josephson Bag & Canvas Awning Company. Ed was an avid car enthusiast and in later years, especially enjoyed his Beam Bottle car collection.
Ed was a gentle, affectionate and caring man who was very much loved by all. During his time at Benchmark's Split Rock he made many new friends, who he shared many a laugh with. He always had kind words for his caregivers and staff and in turn they brightened his days with smiles, hugs and "smooches."
He is survived by his beloved daughter and son-in-law, Cindi Lenkowski Ramos and Manny Ramos of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Lenkowski and his sister, Helen Felinski.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10 am. Due to construction at the church, A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am in the CHURCH HALL of Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford followed by entombment at Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
