Ellen:
So saddened. It's like losing the first quarter of my life. Bobby and I went to PS 99 and were in the same class for 6 years, then Midwood, Mu Sigma, Boy Scout troop 115 and the Beaver Patrol, then we roomed together at Michigan. The bits and pieces of our childhood that only we could reconstruct - gone
Later, Life, careers, family separated us.
I relished our last meeting in Silver Spring, after so many decades, and really hoped to renew contact. So many common memories known only to us and now gone.
Bobby was among the brightest of us and surely the kindest. Amazingly quiet but always tuned in.
Life is so full of lost opportunities.
Words fail at times like these - but Bobby will always be a part of me.
Knowing he was there was so important.
Sincerely,
Chuck
