Nancy McKellips Obituary
Visitation will be 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Denton-Wood Funeral Home. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, 2015, 2:30 p.m., at Denton-Wood Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dennis W. McKinley officiating.
Denton-Wood Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Nancy Jean McKellips was born April 1, 1973, in Elgin, Illinois, to Patrick A. and Nancy Jean (Nyrkkanen) Pruitt. She moved to Carlsbad as a young girl. Nancy graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1990. She was a wonderful mother, loving wife and had a big heart for her family and friends.
Survivors are her husband, John McKellips of Carlsbad, NM; daughter, Shyra Wyatt and husband,
Justin of Carlsbad, NM; son, Charles Reed, II of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Kristopher Wyatt and Kittrick Wyatt; mother, Nancy Hartman of Carlsbad, NM; father, Patrick Pruitt of Georgia; sister, Wendy Hedgecock of Albuqueruqe, NM; brother, Mark Hartman of Albuquerque, NM and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to Boys & Girls Club, 1602 West Fox Street, Carlsbad, NM 88220.

Nancy was one of my best friends when we were young. We had some great times together. After she moved to Albuquerque for a while, we lost touch. I did think of her from time to time & wondered where she was or how she was doing. My thoughts & prayers go out to her family. I pray the Lord give you all peace & comfort in your time of sorrow. I'll always have fond memories of Nancy.

Thinking of so many things today that I wish I could say to you. Remembering all the long talks and silly jokes we shared. I wish I could hug your neck and hear you laugh just one more time. I love you Nan! I will miss you till we meet again. XXOO
