My mom always told me how she looked up to him as a Great older brother as he helped her through some tough times growing up. That all lead up to him as being a Great Godfather and a Great Uncle to me, a Great son, a Great husband, a Great father, a Great grand father, a Great soldier, a Great worker a Great friend and a Great Man.

Tribute to a Loving Father

I may be unable to speak today without great difficulty. My father took me to church. He was my little league coach. He taught me the meaning of hard work by sending me to work in corn fields for 60 cents per hour during the summer in junior high school.
Both he and my loving mother were very hard working people with few complaints. When I paid 45 dollars per month to rent a room in medical school, he came to help me remodel the room to make it liveable. Both he and my mother lost their mothers at a very young age. I had a wonderful chilhood due to loving parents and a wonderful sister and brother-in-law.

My father could not have been a better father. I miss him beyond what is imagineable. He deserves to be in a better place without the pain and suffering especially of the last few months. I have faith that God will forgive him of all transgressions, voluntary and involuntary committed in thought, word or deed.

I have faith that he will be placed in a place of bright light, green pastures where all pain, sorrow and sighing have fled away.

We are clinging and praying to the hope of seeing both he and my mother again.

May God bless his soul. May his memory be eternal.

Your loving son

Mildred and Howard were our neighbors on 14th street when I was very young. They were both wonderful neighbors and an extra set of Grandparents to my sister and I! We have many fond memories of them.

I was your care giver for a short time, but in that time you became my friend, and a part of my family. You were so funny but sometimes a little grumpy that is what made you so unique and wonderful to be around. Our days were filled with excitement from getting up each morning to physical therapy, then tucking you in each night! I will never forget your likes and dislikes, I will never forget my nicknames you gave me, you are in my heart and mind forever. My prayers are with your family and you will truly be missed everyday!! Love Jenni (Oak Lawn)!
