ROGER CRUISE Obituary

Roger C. Cruise, 53, of Sycamore, Ill., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5 , 2007, at SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford.
Born July 15, 1954, in DeKalb, he was the son of Robert C. and Lois (Haas) Cruise.
Roger was a 1972 graduate of Waterman High School. He received a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University. Roger farmed with his father for several years and later taught at Kishwaukee College in the Ag Science Department and was a substitute teacher at several schools. Roger was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and loved horticulture.
He is survived by a daughter, Kelly (Brian) White of Shabbona; a son, Kristopher Cruise of Waterman; his parents, Robert and Lois Cruise of Shabbona; a sister, Rhonda (Ronald) Ciaccio of Houston, Texas; a brother, Rick (Elizabeth) Cruise of Shabbona; two nephews, Rick and Scott; two nieces, Amy and Michelle; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his dear friend, Gayle Graham of Sycamore.
Private family services are planned, and interment of cremated remains will be conducted at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established for Roger C. Cruise for the DeKalb County Animal Welfare Shelter, 16173 Baseline Road, Genoa, IL 60135.
