DEBORAH LOBMEYER Obituary
After living in England for many years, she moved back to the states in 1979. Deborah was a kind woman who touched many people over her life. She spent much of her time volunteering with pet therapy and was an officer of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation in Waterloo, focusing her efforts mainly on patient therapy with horses and dogs. Deborah was also on the board of the DeKalb County Animal Shelter. She was a true animal lover.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Lobmeyer of Sycamore; children, Susan Mitchell of Sycamore, Ladric (Natasha) Grant of Minneapolis, Minn., Raymond Joseph (Vicky) Lobmeyer II of Clear Lake, Iowa, DeAnn (Richard) Scearce of Mount Vernon, Iowa, Susan (James) Hill of Eldora Hills, Calif., and Janet (Robert) Nelson of Ross, Iowa; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and brother, William Biddle.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 14, at The Church of St. Mary, 244 Waterman St., Sycamore.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for DeKalb County Animal Shelter, 16173 Baseline Road, Genoa, IL 60135.

All of us at the DeKalb County Animal Shelter will miss Debbie. She was a big part of the Animal Welfare League for many years. She was truly an animal lover.

Deb was a wonderful neighbor. I remember when we moved in next door, how welcome both she and Ray made us feel. She was always happy to explain to my children the type of therapy she did with the dogs. I remember her absolute joy and love for Freddy. My prayers go out to the family.
