FREIDA RICHARDSON Obituary
She was born Nov. 10, 1933, in Edinburg, Ill, the daughter of Dewey and Hattie Perrine. She was married to Melvin (Mel) Richardson for 41 years, until his passing. They owned and operated Mel Richardson Electric, then retired together from Falls Products in Genoa. She then met Marvin Bloomingdale and they were companions for 19 years. They loved to travel and go to casinos. She loved to be with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Freida is survived by her loving companion, Marv Bloomingdale; two sons, Duane Richardson of Genoa and Melvin (Jeanne) Richardson of Belvidere; two daughters, Linda McMillan of Plano and Kelli (Steve) Swatzell of Belvidere; one daughter-in-law, Vanessa Richardson of Rome, Wis.; three sisters, Wanda Best and Ruth (Bob) Brown, both of Taylorville, and Eunice (Dean) Gensler of Tuscola; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Gary; one sister, Dorothy Page; two brothers, Norman and Max Perrine; daughter-in-law, Chris Richardson and son-in-law, Walt McMillan.
Her Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 18, at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa. Burial will be private.
Her visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, at the funeral home.
