ELDON RANEY Obituary
Born Sept. 20, 1923, in Millington, the son of the late Charles Raney and Forest (Taylor) Raney, he spent the first part of his life in Illinois farming and driving semi trucks for Wurlitzer, and DeKalb Ag., among other companies. He moved to Arizona in 1980 and continued driving semi trucks until he retired. He loved hiking in the desert and hunting arrowheads. He had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh.
He is survived by his six children, Mike Raney (Roberta) of California, Marina Daniels of California, Brad Raney of Plano, Scott Raney (Dana) of Tucson, Ariz., Brenda Raney of Fairfax, Va., and Lorena Ensminger (Roger) of Sterling, Va.; 15 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Arlene Johnson and Vera Raney, both of Sandwich, and Myrna (Ed) Fox of Waterman; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers, Richard, Carroll, Burl, Kenton and Melvin.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the United Church of Sandwich, followed by a lunch at the Saunnak Forest Preserve.

Lori, I'm so sorry for the loss of your dad. I know that you probably grieved for a long time prior to this happening, but it never makes it easy.
