HELEN ARNE Obituary
Born Sept. 2, 1919, in Edgington, the daughter of John and Ruth (Whitney) Vroman, she married Morris Arne on June 23, 1946, at the Edgington Presbyterian Church. She and her husband farmed in the Steward and Malta areas for many years.
After Helen's graduation from Western Illinois University, she taught home economics at Ashton High School. She was a member of Malta United Methodist Church.
Helen is survived by two daughters, Linda (Michael) Cardine of Steward and Jayne (Russell) Buchholz of Malta; five grandchildren, Christina (Jason) Bogle, Ryan Cardine, Allen, Sheila and Eric Buchholz; and two great grandchildren, Austin and Cailin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Morris Arne in 2000.
Private family services will be held. There will be no visitation.
