Arthur Wayne Eaton
April 15, 1934 - Nov. 12, 2010
Arthur Wayne Eaton, 76, of Kirtland, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, in Farmington. He was born April 15, 1934, in Kline, Colo.
Wayne was a dedicated and loving man to his family and friends, and spent many happy hours camping, picnicking, and rock hunting with them. He was an avid musician who enjoyed his last years playing guitar in two bands with his cherished wife, friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Nellie Eaton; sister, Mary Tuttrow; son, Gary Eaton; and grandson, Scott Waller.
He is survived by his wife, Lorene Deanie Eaton; son, Larry Eaton; daughters, Terry Evans and Sheree Waller; brother Sheril Eaton and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Tso, Dr. Breeden, and all the caring SJRMC 4th floor doctors and nursing staff for their kindness and care. A special thank you to Dr. Amy Plagge for allowing our loved one to pass with grace, respect and dignity.
The family wishes also to thank everyone for their prayers, monetary gifts and food.
To honor Wayne's wishes, there will be no formal services. However, the family wishes to open their home from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at No. 5 Road 6197 in Kirtland, to share and celebrate memories of Wayne's life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the San Juan Regional Cancer Center, 731 W. Animas St., Farmington, NM 87401.

I would like to express my heartfelt sympathy for the loss of a good man, my Uncle Wayne. I never saw him without a smile. A visit from my uncle Wayne would always bring laughter, enjoyment and a true feeling of acceptance.
He would go out of his way to help someone in need, without fail.
My family and I were blessed to have shared many camping trips and picnics with uncle Wayne
His presence will be truly missed.

Wayne and I were both Plumbers at Jerry Wade Construction. We also worked together at Construction Supply. I later followed him out at CCSD. Wayne was always kind and helpful to everyone. He had a mischievous sense of humor and was a real joy to be around. Wayne truly was a real gentleman. I am honored to be his friend.
