Beanna Nelson Obituary

Beanna Gertrude Nelson was born Feb. 9, 1942, to Charles and Clara (Tincy) Lane in Aztec. She went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, in Kingman, Ariz.
She is survived by her children, David (Kathy) Scroggins of Kingman, Daniel (Jami) Scroggins of Lake City, Colo., and Caterina (Nichole) Nelson of Farmington; along with her brothers, Bill (Eula) Lane and Roy Lane. Her pride and joy were her nine grandchildren, Brandon (Yivette), Danielle (Jordan), Brittani (Brian), Jessica, Ryan, Ian, Kelsey, Courtney, Kimberly; great-granddaughter, Adalyn and her dog Mr. Po.
Beanna was known as "Grammie" to not only her grandkids, but to all their friends, all the sports teams she supported and any other 'young' person she met.
Beanna worked as a telephone operator for Mountain Bell where she eventually became a supervisor. She went on to work for New Mexico State Police as dispatcher and then became a guard and fingerprint specialist at San Juan County jail in Aztec. She retired from San Juan County as a 911 dispatcher in 2004. She moved to Kingman in 2006.
She was a member of Living Word Lutheran Church, Red Hats and loved her swim-buddies in the arthritis swim class. She was an avid sports fan as long as one of her kids or grandkids were participating.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, at First Baptist Church, 17 Road 6500 in Kirtland.
A private burial will take place in Farmington.
If there's a game of 42 going on in heaven, Grammie's bidding 84!

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother. She was my first supervisor at Mountain Bell and was such a big help to me. I worked with her later when she was at SJC Dispatch and I was with the Sheriff's office. She was a wonderful lady.
