Mark Noyes Obituary

Mark Lee Noyes, 50, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015. He was born March 1, 1965, to Bob Lee Noyes and Kathleen Edge Noyes in Mountain View, Calif.
To call Mark a free spirit would be an understatement. He loved to travel and explore different cultures. He especially loved spending time in the mountains camping, fishing and hiking. Some of his favorite destinations include Amsterdam and the Turks and Caicos Islands.
He was an artist at his core and he expressed it on canvas. He was quite accomplished in this area with an impressive portfolio selling many prints and exhibiting his work at shows. He was also an avid restaurateur. He worked in all aspects of the food industry. While he did accomplish most of this in Seattle, Wash., he did start the Cane Brake Café in downtown Natchitoches, La., with his sister.
He is survived by his parents, Bob Lee Noyes and Kathleen Edge Noyes of Winnfield, La.; sister Sandra Miller and husband Dennis of Natchitoches; brother Bobby Noyes and wife Alison of Durango, Colo.; nephew Ethan Noyes; nieces, Brandi Dauzat and husband Matthew of Hessemer, La., Ashley Poskey and husband Jessie of Natchitoches; Shelby Savant and husband Shawn of Woodworth, La.; and Lakin Miller of Natchitoches; seven great-nieces and nephews; and his closest friends, Chip Rutherford of Seattle, Wash., Rhoda Dean of Seattle, Scot Morse of New Orleans, La., Holly Lubba John of Seattle, Brie Jontry of Philadelphia, Pa. and Ari Jontry of Philadelphia.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, A.K. and Lola Bell Edge, Oceo E. Noyes and Thelma and Annalee Noyes.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements are with Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, P.O. Box 2184, 848 Keyser Ave., Natchitoches, LA 71457, 318-357-8271.
