Daniel Webb Obituary
ELIZABETH CITY - Daniel Oris Webb 84, of 402 Lane Drive, Elizabeth City died Friday, March 18, 2016 at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Webb was born February 10, 1932 in Caroleen, NC to the late Oris Calhoun Webb and Risbeth Tate Webb and was the husband of Faye Stallings Webb. He previously was a store manager for J C Penney, a member of Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church, Albemarle Hospital Board of Trustees, President of EC Downtown Business Association, President of Pine Lakes Senior Golf Association and a member of EC Rotary Club. He was an avid golfer, saxophone player, and multi-year champion of the Parks and Recreation horseshoe tournament and loved to dance.
In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Debra Evans of Farmville, NC and Kathy Pitcher of Springfield, VA; one son, Daniel Webb of Morehead City, NC; three step-daughters, Stephanie Ambrose and husband Tommy, Lisa Delph and husband David and Wendy Brickhouse and husband, Kevin all of Elizabeth City, NC; a sister, Betty Doris Cribb of Gastonia, NC; five grandchildren, Caitlin Wright and husband Brad, Maris Webb, Jimmy Evans, Kristin Pitcher and Anders Pitcher; four step-grandchildren, Holly Lamb and husband Brock, Colin Brickhouse, Connor Brickhouse and Skyler Ambrose; and a step great-grandchild, Rowyn Lamb.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC with the Rev. Don Morris officiating. The family will receive friends Monday night from 7:00 ~ 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and at other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Albemarle Hospice, PO Box 189, Elizabeth City, NC, 27909 or Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church, 700 North Road Street, Elizabeth City, NC 27909. Twiford Funeral Home, 405 East Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Webb family. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.twifordfh.com.
