Joseph Percer Obituary
Elizabeth City resident
Joseph Percer, 75, of 1414 Lamb's Grove Rd., Elizabeth City, died at his residence, July 24, 2012. Funeral services will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness, Saturday at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, today from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Stallings Funeral Home, Elizabeth City, is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Percer was the son of the late Alonzo Percer and the late Margaret "Maude" Sharpe. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Denise Biggs Percer; five daughters, Maria Griffin of Elizabeth City, Margaret Percer of Bellport, N.Y., Selena-Marie Suber of Elizabeth City, Robin Lawson of Elizabeth City and Geraldine Mintz Jordan of Texas; five sons, Joseph Percer Jr. of Middle Island, N.Y., Steven Percer of Jacksonville, Fla., Alonzo Percer of Middle Island, NY., Allen Percer of Mastic, N.Y., and Charles-Eugene Percer of Bellport, N.Y.; two brothers, James Octavius Percer of Sumter, S.C. and Charles Watson of Virginia Beach, Va.; 38 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. A special thanks to Diane Turner and Diane Barber for assisting with his care.
