GREENVILLE — Jerald D. "Fluke" Campbell, age 78, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at the State of the Heart Hospice Care Center of Greenville. He was born April 10, 1937, in Greenville and the son of the late Donna M. (Linder) Campbell.
Jerald was retired following a military career. He began service in the U.S. Marine Corp and then served nearly 15 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was the former owner of the Campbell Apple Farm in Ansonia. He was a member of the Greenville V.F.W. and Ansonia American Legion.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith D. Hawkey, Sept. 20, 2015.
Jerald is survived by his brothers, Gene (Donna) Campbell of Lexington, Kentucky, Joe Campbell and friend Cindy of Centerville, Ohio, John (Barbara) Campbell Fairborn and Richard "Butch" Campbell of Ansonia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Greenville Township Memorial Garden with Pastor Ron Hoeksema officiating. Full military honors will be presented by the Greenville Veteran's Honor Guard. Funeral arrangements by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
