I am one of at least 500 people who should be writing a great big Thank You on this link to George McKaig for all the opportunities and support he gave me and hundreds of others while under his employment. My life was secure because of him; something I didn't have a lot of before I came to Hughes Aircraft Co. Because of George I loved my job and became one of the rare few that enjoyed coming to work every day - I had fun and worked my butt off...everyone should be so blessed.

Unfortunately, so few people know that George was the man behind the scenes promoting and supporting employee morale for 13-thousand employees via an internal communication and events department and a community relations program that dealt with business and industry throughout local communities and other aerospace companies throughout southern CA and beyond. Thousands of people's lives were appreciated and enhanced through these efforts.

I worked at the company for over 37 years and people as brilliant and 'big-picture' as George came few and far between. George McKaig, Dick Seaberg, Dick Brandes and Dick Jones - my hall of famers.

I heard of George's death a while back; after his funeral. It's crazy how I fell upon this link today but I am grateful that I did - I can now officially say rest in peace George and thanks for everything. God Bless you.

Bruce, may God strengthen and comfort you and your family in your hour of bereavement. Remember the words in Revelation 14:13; And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, "Write Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!" "Yes," says the Spirit, "so that they may rest from their labors, for thier deeds follow with them."
