Harvey was a great golf buddy. He brought a new dimension to our golf game, competitively and socially. He will remain in my memory forever.

I would always look forward to when I was going to visit grandpa or play golf with him. I remember one time he said he would give me $20 to walk the whole 18 holes of the course and I complained the whole time because he and my dad got to ride in the cart. I will miss grandpa very much.

I don't think many people can be described as "jolly" but that's how I would describe Harvey. Anytime I was around him he was happy and laughing. I could tell he was a wonderful father and grandfather.

I liked visiting grandpa Harvey every winter. He would give us warm, comforting hugs and smiles. It was funny when he would give me, Alex, Emily and Ryan dares for five dollars. He was very generous and caring and fun to be around. I will miss my (very) loved grandpa.

Harvey was so much fun to be around, laughing, telling stories and it was obvious how much he loved spending time with his beautiful grandchildren. He will be missed.

When Harvey joined our golf group, he added a new dimension to the social part of our golfing. His background was totally different from the rest of us and because of that, he was able to constantly invite a different perspective to our thinking.
His golf qame was a level above the rest of us: we are all relatively newcomers to the game. His swing was unique and way beyond our analysis. He was definitly special.
Harvey had an enormous love for food and especially for buffets. After vacations and trips he would share with us details of the new found or revisited buffets.
Harvey has been, and will continue to be missed. We lost a fine man and a good buddy.

The thing I remember about Harvey is that he always seemed to be happy and to genuinely care about the people around him. He could easily light up a room with his jovial demeanor and clever comments. He was always so kind to our family. I will never forget the thoughtfulness of Harvey and Ruth on my parents 50th wedding anniversary when they surprised them with a Thomas Kincaid painting. My Mom enjoys that gift every day of her life. We will miss you Harvey.

I was very sad to hear of Mr Spiro’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with him in heaven and with his family.
I have fond memories of Mr Spiro (Harvey) from my childhood when Mike and I were growing up. He was a gifted, hard working,, dedicated man, and a true role model for his family, his children and friends of family such as myself.
One of my fondest moments with Mr Spiro was at Mike's bachelor party in Las Vegas. He was just one of the boys (so true). He did pretty much every activity with us during that weekend. One of our activities was a round of golf. Mr Spiro was a very good golfer (he golfed often and I recall had a pretty good handicap) and I was a terrible golfer. In warming up I took a few practice swings, and I caught a huge piece of turf with my iron and the entire piece flew into the front center of Mr Spiro's sweater (A white sweater no less). I thought I was in real trouble, expected him to be upset. Mr Spiro was not mad, he brushed off the turf, merely smiled, and said with a smile "lesson one Dave, only take warm up swings away from other people unless you are an outstanding golfer", I laughed, he laughed, we all laughed. Just one of my many fond memories of Mr Harvey Spiro, that will stay with me my whole life.

Harvey, I remember so well the first time I met you and how nervous I was. You made me feel so welcomed and accepted and that never did change. You were a "larger than life" kind of person and we all loved you so much. You helped raise two wonderful sons that I know you were so proud of, as well as your five grandchildren, who adored you. Your absence will be felt for the rest of our lives.
