Roberta Banes Obituary
Mrs. Banes, the daughter of Otis and Mary Hall, was born February 9, 1924 in San Pedro, California, passed away peacefully at her home on January 8, 2011, in Carson, California, surrounded by her family. Her late husband of 36 years, John Williams Banes, preceded her in death. Roberta is survived by 2 children, Dan (Bonnie) Banes; Lynda (Frank) Guarino and daughter-in-law, Terry Banes; a sister, Doris Quanrud; 9 grandchildren, Margy and Ashley Spera; Mary Sapper (Keith Aulick) and Marlaina Sapper; Jeremy and Danny Emerson, Jessica Sorrell, Heidi and Brandon Smith; and 12 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 1:00pm at the Green Hills Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Please sign the guest book at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.
