Dear Myra and Lori,
I could hardly believe the sad news of Allan's passing in the newspaper the other day. I immediately called Patty, of course, and she confirmed that she had been notified. I am still in shock as you must be.
Allan was the sweet character who always had a twinkle in his eye and found humor and joy in life. I have fond memories of weekends sleeping outside in our sleeping bags on the top of the hill in Vista.
You and your family are in my heart and prayers and I hope to keep in touch with you more in the future.

reading all the entries, sounds like allen would have been a great uncle to have! i know he always sounded like he had alot of spirit and happiness, when we talked on the phone! wish i could have met him. now he will be in heaven watching over us! just cherish the memories until the day we can be with him! love u, myra,lori,and trevor! Allan and Myra were the first people we met at Vista De Vista when we moved to the community. They both encouraged us to contribute to the community we lived in which led to Leela getting involved in the HOA. We will miss the kind and gentle presence of Allan in our community and will cherish all the wonderful memories we have of him. We are here for you Myra if you need anything, just let us know.

Allan was like a second father to me. I grew up with his daughter Lori, who is my oldest and best friend to this day. I was a part of the Walker family and was fortunate enough to have shared many years with Allan on waterski trips, skiing in the mountains of Southern California, many, many days at the beach, and days on end tossing a football in his front yard. Over the years we had been less in touch, but he and Myra are always in my heart.
I'm sorry to have lost Big Al - he was a wonderfully warm and generous man who loved his friends and family. He is already dearly missed.
My love to Myra, Lori and Trevor, you are all in my thoughts.

Allan was a kind and good soul. He was the epitome of the South Bay Surfer. The memories of 21st Street MB growing up stand out because of Allan. Allan was a fun loving guy who had a smile for all. He goes back to the early 50's in Redondo Beach and surfed at 21st. in Manhattan for ages. I am proud to call him a friend of mine. He will be missed by all.

Allan was one of the good guys and was a friend to everyone. I have many fond memories of Easter and Mother's day brunches down at Reubens in Redondo and many Christmas Eve's at one of our houses. My love to Myra and Lori and Trevor.
