Diane Gordon-Erikson Obituary

Diane Heather Gordon-Erikson, age 52, passed away quietly in her home surrounded by family on Friday, October 1, 2010 after a yearlong battle with cancer. Born February 1, 1958 in Aberdeen, Scotland to father, Robert Gordon and mother, Tecla Brunozzi of Assisi, Italy whom he met and married soon after the war, Diane was the youngest of 4 siblings. In 1985, at the age of 27, Diane realized her lifelong dream and immigrated to the United States. She settled in the South Bay to pursue a career as an artist and website designer. In the course of these pursuits, Diane made many friends and touched the lives of countless others with her spiritual advice, infectious smile, generosity, wit and charm. She leaves behind her husband of 16 years, Robert; as well as her mother, Tecla Brunozzi; sisters, Marie and Angela; brother, Christopher; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs and cats. She will be missed. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Green Hills Cemetery, 2:00 p.m. Please sign the guestbook at www.dailybreeze.com/obits.

Diane and I were great pals and workmates in Aberdeen. We had some great times and I've only found out that she is gone. Always thought I would bump into her again - but now I'll have to wait. Love you Diane xx

Seven years ago I was searching without really knowing what I was looking for. I was going around in ficious circles. Then Great Spirit put you and your forum in my path.
You shared a philosophy with me that helped guide me to a better way of researching and defining my reality.
Then, after losing my husband you offered me your shoulder. I want to thank you.
You know Diane, you had some strong shoulders girl! Because you carried alot of weight for others on them.
I extend my sympathies to your family and dearest friends.
The memories others have of you shows the great measure of a remarkable woman.
**peace**

With one step you have shed the veils of words, time, distance and pain letting shine your radiant heart and luminous soul without limits.

With the next step you have taken your place among the stars to guide those lost in the dark and to give lovers a place to dream.

I shall miss you until that time, upon some distant crossroad, we meet again.

My little sister, it's just not right
That you are gone
Out goes a light
You were your own person with firm beliefs
And I respected you for the choices you made and the path you walked
Land and sea may have separated us
But you were always and will always be a part of me
My sweet little sister, rest in peace
Your dark days are over and your pain and suffering have ceased
You are locked in my heart
A part of me
And you will be
For all eternity
Love you forever
