Raymundo Rojas Obituary

A 50 year resident of Redondo Beach, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 in Torrance. Born in Sinaloa, Mexico, Raymundo was 84 when he died. He was a dedicated 25 year employee of the Lawndale Elementary School District. Raymundo enjoyed woodworking, gardening, playing pool, and family road trips. He was a volunteer at the Anderson Senior Center in Redondo Beach for several years. Raymundo is survived by his loving wife, Esther Rojas; daughters, Eileen and Lynn; sisters Sara, Panchita, and Berta; grandchildren, Raymond, Jessica, and Maryrose; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Bernardino and Sara Rojas and daughter, Christine Rojas. The service will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Church on Tuesday, November 16, 2010. A short viewing will take place from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. and be followed immediately by a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. at the same church. I remember Mr. Rojas when he worked with my ex-huband in Lawndale. He was always kind, and gracious. My prayers are with his wife and family, especially Eileen who I worked with at William Green.
