Robert Galbraith Obituary

Robert Hugh Galbraith of Palos Verdes, left this world on May 4, 2010. Robert was born on February 3rd in Los Angeles, California. Robert was a loving husband to Helen Galbraith for 63 wonderful years. Robert was a proud father and grandfather. Robert had three sons and 7 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Robert lived a joyous life. Robert was student body president of Dorsey High School and was an avid sportsman and enjoyed playing baseball, paddle tennis and tennis. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe as part of a tank destroyer unit. Robert graduated from USC and worked in the aerospace sector until retirement. He was a proud American with strong moral values who was an inspiration and example for his family and friends. We will sorely miss his jokes and stories. His best trait was he never complained and we will always remember the love and happiness that he had shared with us for so many years. Services for Robert will be held May 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5845 Crestridge Road, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275.

My sincere condolences to the entire Galbraith family during this difficult time. I worked with John at Western Airlines and we had a lot of fun in those days surfing and playing softball. Even though I never met his father I can see he was a tremendous individual knowing the quality person John was. God Bless you all.
