Dear Diana,
though I know of you through Jon, he spoke of you lovingly. I met him over 20 years ago when I first went to aspen and he was always a bright smile and a person that I admired. He was a rare person whom I the good fortune to know. He had the best qualities of men and humanity and he will be missed.

Dear Diana, We are so very sorry to hear about Jon. Tara, Ella and Daealen were not fortunate to have met him however i took time yesterday to explain what kind of person Jon was. I will remember his quick wit, vast intelligence , kind soul and quest for freedom and having fun. I will miss my friend Jon and hope you are doing okay. Our thoughts are with you and Jon and they are very pleasant ones. I am happy to have known him and spent time together doing things we both really enjoyed. With all our love we wish you peace. Dear Diana,
I just heard of Jon's passing. Words fail me. I knew Jon years ago...we used to snow and water ski together, I flew with him when he was learning to fly, my brother was his friend in college at Western State and my wife Robin and I will always have wonderful memories of Jon. I remember when he first discovered Lake Powell. He talked me into flying there with him and we landed at Hall's Crossing in the late afternoon, we rented a fishing boat and after an hour on the lake, we returned it for a ski boat and water skied for the next three days. Our deepest condolences to you... he was a wonderful man, fun, a good companion, a great ski(both water and snow)buddy, and a good friend. When he was getting his pilot certifications, we would often leave Boulder in the morning, fly to Aspen or Steamboat for lunch and fly home... he used to let me fly the plane and taught me to fly. I miss him already even though I haven't seen him for several years. He will always have a place in my heart. We wish you the best in this difficult time...if there is anything we can do, or if you would ever wish to reminisce about Jon, please call us. He will be missed.

Diana,
The Racquet Club will not be the same without Jon. I am going to miss my neighbor! Hope you and MeToo will still come up to visit the Vail winter wonderland that Jon loved so much.

We are so sorry for your loss! I went to Western State with Jon one year. He taught my husband how to ski. Jon skied better backwards than we did forward! We have good memories of him. Our prayers are with you. John&Shelley Rinella
