Peter Shultis Obituary

Peter Shultis WILLOW - Peter Shultis, 82, died Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011 at Ten Broeck Commons in Lake Katrine. Born June 20, 1928 in Kingston, he was the son of the late Ralph and Lena Plass Shultis and had resided in the Woodstock hamlet of Willow for many years. Mr. Shultis worked as a stone mason with his father for 50 years and in 1987 began the Peter Shultis stone yard in Willow, selling blue stone. He was a devoted and loving family man. Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years; Eleanor Ronk Shultis, a daughter; Kathy Auchmoody of Willow, a son; Peter (Skip) Shultis of Marbletown, a sister; Barbara Jane Scott of Mo., seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Shultis. Private services were arranged by Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker Street, Woodstock. In Lieu of flowers, contributions to the Woodstock Rescue Squad or the United Methodist Church of Shady would be appreciated.
