Paul Titus Obituary

Paul E. Titus, 77, of Tuslor Drive, died Friday, June 12, 2009 at Cobleskill Regional Hospital following a brief illness. Paul was born September 28, 1931 in Kortright, NY, the son of Edward O. and Alice P. (Jones) Titus. He was a cattle dealer, operating Titus Livestock, for over fifty years. Paul was predeceased by his wife, Mary. Survivors include his companion of 28 years, Carol Joslyn of Richmondville; two sons, Joseph Titus of Carlisle and Douglas Titus of Unadilla; three grandchildren, Dustin, Stacey, and Melanie; and a great-granddaughter; three step-daughters, Connie Seim of Baltimore, MD, Coreen Chacho of Richmondville, and Debra Winslow of Ballston Spa; six step-grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Troost of Owensboro, KY, and Bessie Prusky of Albany; and a brother, Kenneth Titus of Salisbury, NC. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill, with Rev. Carol Coltrain of the Huntersland United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Harpers- field Cemetery. Friends are also invited to a period of visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 15, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Richmondville Volunteer Emergency Squad, State Route 7, Richmondville, NY 12149.
