MARION RUTH SWANSON

1925 - 2016

Marion Ruth Swanson (nee Beckel) passed away on March 8, 2016 at the age of 90. She was born in Chicago, IL on April 2, 1925. Marion is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and her sister Carolyn Battles. Marion is lovingly remembered by her daughters Sue (Tom) Grisko of Des Plaines, IL and Donna (Joel) Pennington of Portage, MI; by her grandchildren Matt (Katie Morris) Grisko, Brian (Christie) Grisko and Kristen (Brandon) Woolley; and by her adored great-grandchildren Nehemiah and Lilah Woolley and Lexi Grisko. Marion enjoyed spending time with her family, playing the piano, watching musicals, knitting, and working on Lutheran World Relief projects. The visitation will be held at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille St., Mount Prospect, IL on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 10 to 11:30 AM. The funeral service will follow directly after the visitation with Reverends Twila Schock and Christie Webb officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Emblem Cemetery, 520 East Grand, Elmhurst, IL.
