Dear Welk Family,
I just came across Joe's obituary today, November 6th, 2022. I remember him from church activities in grade school and from seeing him in a high school musical. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I hope that time is bringing you comfort and peace.

I am so so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. He was a solid friend and a great colleague. We spent long days at work making solutions and filling plates, and I've gotten to know him well. He made a mean key lime pie! He will be missed.

I met Joe through Green and White Soccer. He and Melissa were the first people I knew by name because of their inclusive approach to the team families. Joe embraced and encouraged this huge extended family and made my family feel right at home. Joe always encouraged the girls to shine on the field and was ready on the sideline with a High Five or a shoulder hug. He was a wonderful person and will be loved and missed always.
