EUGENE SKIBINSKI Obituary

Eugene A. Skibinski of Arlington Heights Visitation Eugene A. Skibinski will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, and on Monday, May 24, from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles. Born July 25, 1925, in Chicago, to John and Mary Skibinski, he passed away Friday, May 21, 2010, at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights. Mr. Skibinski was a salesman in the tobacco industry. He served in the Navy during World War II, and after retirement he enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his children, Cynthia (the late Steve Krein) Skibinski, Dennis (Barbara) Skibinski, Jeffrey (Gayle) Skibinski, Sharon (Jim) Covello and Glenn (Joni) Skibinski; and his grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Autumn, and Jeromy; and his dear companion, Connie Gonser. Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Grace A. Skibinski (nee Gjondla); his daughter, Linda; his brother, Chester Skibinski; and his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association of Metropolitan Chicago, 1440 W. Washington Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607.
