LORRAINE PFURSICH Obituary

Lorraine Agnes Pfursich (nee Turyna), 90, loving wife of the late Edwin George Pfursich, Jr., passed away on July 21, 2013 while vacationing in Tampa, Florida. Born in Chicago, her family moved to the Glen Ellyn/Wheaton area in 1925, where she stayed during the rest of her life. At the age of 63, Lorraine began volunteer service at the Wise Penny Resale Shop in Wheaton, where she worked two days per week until her passing. She logged over 8,000 hours of volunteer time. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Agnes Turyna, twin sister Lavergne Schwab (Robert), and great grandson Joseph Ambrose, Jr. Lorraine is survived by her daughter Barbara Rasins (James) of Glen Ellyn, IL; her son Edwin George III (Shannon) of Nixa, MO; her son Frederick (Susie) of Whittier, CA; and her son Theodore (Peggy) of Arlington, TX; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren (with another on the way); sister-in-law Janet Pfursich; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nephews. A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church of Glen Ellyn at 1:00 p.m., August 10, 2013 with a reception following the service in the fellowship room. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Lorraine's name to Grace Lutheran Church, 493 Forest Avenue, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.

I'm so sorry to hear of Lorraine's sudden passing. I just heard about it a little while ago. My thoughts are with the family. What a super lady.
