I was shocked and saddened to hear of John's passing. We shared a deep interest in the electric railways of the Fox River Valley and especially the Aurora Elgin and Fox River Electric Company. I was starting my days work on AE&FR 304 when I heard. John was about sharing information whether it be railway history, railway preservation or traction modeling. His passing will be a loss to all these areas. My prayers will be with John and his family.
