Raymond Hinze Obituary

Raymond E. Hinze of Mount Prospect for 53 years Services for Raymond E. Hinze, 85, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, at G.L. Hills Funeral Home, 745 Graceland Ave., Des Plaines. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today, at the funeral home. Born Aug. 16, 1920, in Evanston, he died Friday, Jan. 27, 2006, at his home. Mr. Hinze was employed as a sheet metal journeyman and was a member of Local #73 for 50 years. He and his family owned Black Acre farm and roadside stand for 47 years. He was on the board of directors for Cook County Farm Bureau. Raymond was the husband of Laura (nee Fritz) for 64 years; father of David, Howard (Sharon), Karen (James) Gutzmer and Peggy (James) Refenes; grandfather of Peter, Mark, Kevin, Steven, Matthew, Josh, Rachel, James, Rebecca and Leah; great-grandfather of six; brother of Willard, the late Harvey (Barbara) and the late Esther; and uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Rainbow Hospice or Concordia Seminary in St. Louis. For information, 847-699-9003.
