PAMELA S. BARTELT

EAST DUNDEE - Pamela S. Bartelt, age 68, passed away on Monday morning, surrounded by her family at the Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Pam was born in Elgin on February 28, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Donald C. and Aleta H. (nee Reko) Ikert. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1965 graduate of Dundee Community High School. Pam was a lifelong active member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee, and a church choir and handbell choir member. She was also a former organist at the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Pingree Grove and Trinity Lutheran Church, Hampshire. Prior to retirement, Pam was a 28 year employee of Associates in Orthopaedic Surgery in Elgin. Survivors include her husband of almost 48 years: David E. whom she married on November 4, 1967, their three children: Daniel (Judy), Brett (Kristi) Bartelt and Megan (Chad) Jensen. Pam is also survived by her grandchildren: Ashley, Jordan, Sydney and Sawyer Bartelt and Brooklynn Jensen. Her brother: Daniel (Bonnie) Ikert, her sisters: Diane (David) Reinert, and Sally (Fred) Noverini, her brother-in-law: David Buhrow and sisters-in-law: Virginia Ikert and Judith Bartelt as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. In addition to her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her sister: Elaine Buhrow and brothers: John "Jack" Ikert and Thomas Ikert in infancy and her brother-in-law: Charles Bartelt. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 310 E. Main Street in East Dundee. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday in the Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee and again on Thursday morning at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
