THOMAS W. "TOMMY" GALUSKI

1963 - 2016

MUNDELEIN - Funeral service for Thomas William Galuski, 52, is 6 PM Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Kristan Funeral Home P.C., 219 W. Maple Ave. (two blocks west of Route 45 on Route 176), Mundelein. Visitation is from 3-6 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Tom attended Mundelein High School and graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Finance. Tom was the CEO of GG Land Group based in Chicago. "Tommy" never knew a stranger. He had the amazing ability to make everyone he knew feel special. His smile was infectious, his laugh, contagious. Tom loved music, sports, and being with friends and family. He loved the city, but his heart was at the lake. Three years ago Tommy's world changed when he became a father. His son, Lake, was his biggest joy. He spent every minute he could with him on the floor playing Batman and watching Scooby-Doo. He would often be seen toting Lake around on his shoulders. It was his happy place. Survivors include his son, Lake; beloved son of Diane Timan and stepfather, Ralph of Tracy, California; his father, Tom Galuski of Chicago; brother, Shawn Galuski and his wife, Ruthia and daughter, Alexis of Oceanside, California; sister, Wendy Flynn of Tracy, California and her daughters, Brittany, Ashley and Katie; stepsisters, Dawn Cutler and Rene Spencer; stepbrothers, Ralph, Chris and David Timan and their families. Preceded in death by grandparents, Ruth and Bill Williams. In lieu of flowers, donations to his son Lake's Educational Fund is appreciated.
