RICHARD L. RUDIN

PALATINE - Richard L. Rudin, 75, entered the presence of his Savior on December 23, 2016. He was born in Forest Lake, Minnesota, the son of Paul and Lois. He leaves Marcia, his beloved wife of 16 years; his children, Christie (Mont) Mitchell, Dave (Marcy), Brent (AnnElise), and Cheryl (Jason) Bentsen; Marcia's children, Marla (Frank) Caballero, and Galen (Ann) Stilgebauer. Rich had 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Suzie. Rich was an Eagle Scout, lived in the Northwest suburbs all of his adult life, and enjoyed a long and distinguished career with U.S. Customs. Most importantly, he loved the Lord and lived a life of faithful service to God and others through his church, workplace, and neighborhood. He is remembered as a devoted husband, caring father, fun-loving grandfather, and selfless friend. Though he will be missed by many, we joyfully celebrate his heavenly homecoming. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Ahlgrim Family Funeral Home, 201 N. Northwest Highway, Palatine and at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at The Chapel, 431 N. Quentin Rd., Palatine, with a Celebration of Rich's Life at 11:00 AM. Interment following at Wheeling Twp. Cemetery, Arlington Heights.
