Darrell Kimberl Obituary

MEXIA - Funeral service for Mr. Darrell Sterling Kimberl, 70, was 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12 at Mexia Baptist Church. The Rev. Hughie Denton and the Rev. Wayne McMillian officiated. Burial was at Mexia Cemetery. Mr. Kimberl died June 10, 2010 at Englewood Health Care Facility. Mr. Kimberl was born in Excel and resided in Mexia. He was a former resident of Talladega. Mr. Kimberl was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of Mexia Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He owned and operated a welding shop. He had also worked with Vanity Fair and in industrial construction work. Mr. Kimberl is preceded in death by his father, Albert Clarence Kimberl. Survivors are his wife, Hilma Kimberl of Mexia; son, Darrell Sterling (Miranda) Kimberl Jr. of Madison; daughter, Elizabeth Kimberl (Ross) Bebee of Dallas, Texas; mother, Nell Kimberl of Monroeville; brother, Clarence Michael Kimberl of Monroeville; sister, Marilyn Kimberl Kendrick of Wake Forest, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Ashley Rhyann Kimberl and Braxton Gray Bebee.
