James Lloyd "Ike" Perkins

Funeral services for Mr. James Lloyd "Ike" Perkins will be Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Usrey Funeral Home Chapel, Talladega, with the Reverends Joe Daniels and Jeff Rutledge officiating, and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Perkins was a native of Etowah County and a resident of Talladega for most of his life. He was the former Owner/Operator of Perkins Auto Service. He was also a member of Stockdale Baptist Church. Mr. Perkins was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest Perkins, C.D. Perkins, Amos Perkins, Norris Perkins, Spurgeon Perkins, and Roger Perkins. Mr. Perkins is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eleanor Elders Perkins; 2 daughters, Sherry Lynn Jackson (Hargis) and Sheila Renee Casey (Michael); 2 sons, Marcus Lloyd Perkins, Rickey Lee Perkins (Sandra); 3 sisters, Edith Parton, Ann Wyckoff, Helen Wesley; 2 brothers, Troyce Perkins, Roy Perkins; grandchildren, Ivy Jackson, Cory Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Justin Perkins, Kaleigh Dew, Michelle Knapp, Ashley Allen, Mark Perkins Jr., Nathan Perkins; 16 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Barton, Roy Perkins, Troyce Perkins, Larry Hurst, Author Jenkins, Brad Wesley, Ralph Haywood, and Greg Martin. Special thank you to the wonderful staff of Hospice Complete, Nurse Cassandra, Suezane Moore, Jasmine Ford and the Pastoral Staff. Usrey Funeral Home, Talladega will direct the service.
