Arlene Mitchell Obituary
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin, and son, Mike. She is survived by her son, Bobby, and his wife, Rita, and her grandson, Jeremy, and his wife, Ashley.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 15 between the hours of 3:00 and 4:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23601. A graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park on Sunday, May 16 at 3:00 p.m. Guests are required to wear masks and keep their social distance.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.
Arrangements are under the care of Peninsula Funeral Home.

I got to see Arlene in her element at NASA where she was a certified solderer for spaceflight electronic boards. She was always in demand because of her high quality workmanship, but she was so outgoing, upbeat and fun to be around. She had a can-do attitude, great common sense and was like a big sister to a lot of us in the branch. My prayers go out to her friends and family at this difficult time.
