William QUINN Obituary
Mr. Quinn served as head of the Standard Lab, and later retired from N.A.S.A. in 1990, after serving 30 years as an engineering technician.
For many years, he worked the river oystering and crab potting, which was his pride and joy. His hobbies were remodeling old houses and investing in land.
Emerson leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years, Mary Gloria Quinn; two daughters, June Hohne and husband, Chuck of Westfield, Ind., and Alice Thompson and husband, Ricky of Poquoson; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends.
The family received friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on June 13, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, and other times at 107 Darden Drive. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today, June 14, at the funeral home by the Rev. Milford C. Rollins. Burial will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Soul's Harbor Christian Center, 307 Theatre Road, Yorktown, VA 23692; or Poquoson Fire & Rescue Squad, 830 Poquoson Avenue, Poquoson VA, 23662.
